 Prof. Tania Iossifova is chairperson of the Arbitration Court at the Bulgarian Industrial Association (BIA), a long-time arbitrator and attorney. She is professor in Civil law at the Faculty of law at the University of national and world economy Sofia. Prof. Tania Iossifova is author of three monographs in the field of civil and commercial law, opinions to the Constitutional Court and to the Supreme Court of Cassation, lecturer in seminars devoted to current issues in the field of Information technology law (on-line platforms, digital services, e-commerce).  

Tatiana Minaeva FCIArb is a founder of the South East Europe Arbitration (SEEA) Conference and an international arbitration lawyer and arbitrator with over 25 years of experience in international dispute resolution. Following a distinguished career with leading international law firms, including as a partner from 2012, she established her independent practice, with a primary focus on serving as an independent arbitrator.

During her years as counsel, Tatiana worked on both commercial and investor–state arbitrations, acting for businesses, investors and states in complex disputes across a wide range of sectors, including energy and natural resources, finance, construction, shipping and international trade.

Valentina is dual qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales and as a Slovenian lawyer. She holds Master’s Degrees from Radboud University Nijmegen in European Law, and from Uppsala University in Investment Treaty Arbitration. Valentina has acted in investment treaty arbitrations conducted under the ICSID and the UNCITRAL rules. She has experience working on cases under a variety of investment treaties and in several different industry sectors, including oil & mining, electricity supply, banking, and telecommunication. Dr. Ileana Smeureanu is a Legal Director with Pinsent Masons (Paris) who concentrates her practice on international commercial and investor-State arbitration. Double qualified in New York and Bucharest, and registered as European lawyer with the Paris Bar, Ileana represents clients in ICC, LCIA, VIAC, NAI commercial arbitrations across multiple jurisdictions in various sectors including energy, telecom, hotel industry, construction, and financial services. Ileana also handles ISDS cases and is currently representing a Luxembourg investor against a European State in ICSID proceedings brought under the Energy Charter Treaty, and a Maltese investor against the Republic of Türkiye under a bilateral investment treaty. Ileana is author of the book Confidentiality in International Commercial Arbitration (Kluwer Law International, 2011) and of multiple book chapters and articles dedicated to arbitration in Eastern Europe. Nenad graduated from Belgrade University Law School and has been a member of the State and Belgrade Bar Association since 1998.
