We were thrilled to host SEEA 2025 in Athens, Greece, at the Athens Mediation & Arbitration Organization (EODID)! 

After the success of its second edition in Vienna, the South Eastern Europe Arbitration Conference (SEEA) returned in 2025 for its much-anticipated third edition - this time in the historic and vibrant city of Athens. SEEA 2025 was held as part of Athens Arbitration Days on Friday, 28 November 2025, in proud collaboration with the Athens Mediation & Arbitration Organization (EODID).

2025's theme, "Navigating Arbitration Frontiers in SEE: AI, Energy, Investment & Technology Disputes", reflected the regions increasingly complex legal landscape. Panels explored cutting-edge challenges and opportunities in the arbitration of: 

1. Energy disputes, including treaty withdrawals and legacy contract claims;

2. Technology and AI, examining the evolving duties of arbitrators and institutions in a rapidly digitizing world;

3. Investment arbitration, in the shifting geopolitical and regulatory climate of the SEE region.

The conference asked how arbitration can continue to deliver justice and stability across South Eastern Europe amidst technological disruption and shifting regulatory frontiers.
